Celebrating 50 Years of Service: Exploring the History of McDonough District Hospital highlights the many aspects of the hospital’s day to day operations in service to the community.
Both clinical and support services have been a part of the hospital’s richhistory. The exhibit showcases the history of many dedicated peoplewho have contributed to the quality and enhancement of health services to theresidents of West Central Illinois.
This exhibit celebrating 50 years of McDonough District Hospital was made possible by dedicated community leaders who approved a referendum establishing a new public hospital for residents. Hospital history, archives of publications and photos, medical artifacts, and memorabilia are on display to document the hospital’s past, present, and future.
